You know it’s really interesting that the better the golfer, sometimes, people think that they would be insulted be giving them a game improvement, or training aid.  I find this so odd because most people that accomplish anything have learned from others in some form or fashion.  Even Bubba Watson was taught the grip by his father, if I’m not mistaken.  It’s foolish to think that even tour pro’s have the perfect grip.  Golf is so difficult to learn that if something is working you feel like you shouldn’t change it. However, the only way for most pro’s as well as top amateurs to improve is by refining their games.  Especially refining their grips will give them the most improvement.  Today due to all the research with computer sciences we know for the first time what the proper grip is.  For instance, when I was a child I was taught to place my left thumb on top of the shaft just slightly to the right. What does this mean.  What I found out is that people that grip the club with their thumb down the middle of the shaft have a very difficult time hitting a high fade with consistence. But also. having a weaker grip makes a person use his hands more with his forearms rotating more, closing the face faster through the impact zone.  Thereby hitting more quick hooks.  It’s very difficult to play with a weak left hand grip, and usually the only people that can compete are the best putters.  Corey Pavin plays this way, along with Chin Soon Lou.  These two players always lead the putting stats.  To conclude, if a young girl grabs the club with her thumb running right down the top of the shaft, there is not one single LPGA Hall Of Famer.  So you can see it’s so much better to play with your thumb on the back side of the shaft. The proper thumb placement allows you to hold off the shaft until your body can support and go though with the shaft, thereby, creating more mass times the velocity of your shaft.  The final result is hitting with more consistency and distance. Therefore, don’t be thrown by someone’s low handicap, because they are just the one that can benefit  most from a training aid such as Grip Guides For Golf.  So until later, check your grip and don’t be afraid to improve your game.

Grip Guides for the Perfect Grip Every Time

The proper grip is easy when you have a good understanding where to place your hands and how it impacts the direction of the club face and the wrists through out the swing.  It is also import to know how the hands connect on the club – using the neutral grip – or what we like to call The Perfect Grip, this allows you to have all shot combinations for your game.  Good luck, have fun and stay positive.
